Tata Motors, one of India’s leading automobile manufacturers, has just announced a groundbreaking deal with ride-sharing giant Uber. According to the Memorandum of Understanding signed by the two companies, Tata Motors will supply Uber with a whopping 25,000 units of its Xpres-T EV (Tigor for fleet buyers), making it the largest electric passenger vehicle fleet order placed in India to date.
These electric vehicles will be deployed across seven major Indian cities – Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Ahmedabad – in a phased manner, starting this month. They will be available to book under Uber’s premium category ‘Uber Electric’ service.

As the world shifts towards a greener future, this partnership between Tata Motors and Uber serves as a shining example of how companies can work together to make a positive impact on the environment while still meeting the needs of their customers.
